I almost have it in my hands!!!! We’ll be leaving shortly to go to the book party that Borders is hosting. Should be fun! We went to the last one when Order of the Phoenix came out. Brendan was only 3 months old. Got a sweet pic of us with Hagrid. Just about 3 1/2 hours more…
Brendan was very kind this morning. Instead of pestering me as soon as he woke up this morning he sat beside my bed and read books to himself. I woke up to him saying “zipper”. LOL. He also says “It’s raining!” We had a nice storm today and it hovered around 75 degrees- such a nice breather from the 100s we’ve had for quite some time now.
We went to Half-Price Books today. Bren got some new books and computer games. He can play all of his Reader Rabbit Toddler CD by himself so I got him the next step up, the preschool version. It says for ages 3-5, so we’ll see. It’ll be fun to be needed again, lol. He also got a Dr. Seuss Preschool CD (ages 2-4) and Crayola 3-D Coloring CD (ages 2 and up). We needed some new games!!
Bob the Builder, look out! Kipper the Dog has taken over as favorite cartoon around here. Brendan really laughs hard at his silly antics, such as when he hiccups or falls out of a swing. I love to hear him laugh!

It’s “Cull-ulls”. Hahahaha.
He also says, “No thanks. It’s for you.” when offered something he doesn’t want. 🙂

Yesterday they were “culls”. Today they are “kipples”. Who knows what tomorrow shall bring. 😉
Bren also told me “good job!” today. Awww. He calls the Starfall website by random letters- “S! A! C! Please mama! B! H!” Lol. He’s a Starfallin’ fool today. I even saw him click on “I” and right as the computer said “I” he did too. Yay! Letter recognition here we come!

Before I say anything further- a word of caution. Don’t do the sparkler (okay, three) in the volcano thingy. Just don’t, okay?! [Mumble, mummble… burnt table… mumble…horrible smoke… mumble, moan… tasted like crap… mumble… rotten egg smell…]

Well, guess where I am gonna be during the first week in August? A yummy beach vacation in Port Aransas!!! Guess when AF is due? You guessed it. However, I am delaying “her” with birth control pills. Haha, no, really. Less than 3 months til ttc and I am on the pill. I get to choose when to allow AF back. Too cool. This will help get the nasty witch into a timeframe where she won’t bother me on my OB/RE October 4th day. Even better- they were free, courtesy of my OB’s nurse!
Brendan asked me this today- “Checka bee-ar? Please? Checka bee-ar?” Took me forever and a “show me” to figure out he wanted to take a bath. LOL. He knows 2 tons of animals and their sounds now. He eats fried okra- yay, a veggie!! He is ready to go up to “3T-4T” disposable trainers. His butt finally grew into 3T shorts and caught up with the rest of him.
Planted both pink and white Vincas in our front flower bed two days ago. Gasp! We finally planted something in it after all that hard work!! Looks pretty good. So far they are holding up to the heat. Guess I need to take a picture.
Someone stop me from buying every little pink onesie and dress I see.
And last but not least- a big congrats to my DH who bought new jeans this weekend in a smaller size!!! Ruff, ruff, ruff! You go dude! 😀

Happy 4th of July! It’s great to be home again. I’ll post some pics and such about our trip when I get an opportunity. Right now I am taking a break from preparing for a large fajita supper for us and a few guests. We made 3 different salsas- my pico de gallo style from the garden salsa, a feta avocado salsa and Waynell made a black olive salsa. I can’t wait to try them! Then we are going to make a huge ice cream filled brownie volcano that’s goping to ooze caramel & chocolate shell toppings and be topped with a festive sparkler. I cheated- got the idea from Rainforest Cafe. LOL.
I am looking forward to a nice fireworks show tonight- Brendan gets so excited! 😀 Always a winner with me.
Brendan now says a very cute “Sure!” Gotta love that! He also randomly screams just because he can. Definitely don’t love that.
Also- today marks the 3 month countdown to our October 4th RE appointment!!! WooHooo! The year wait is 75% over! We talk about it all the time now and it has been so hard keeping my mouth shut about it when hanging around my MIL. It’s a secret. Giggle.
